  • Our Scissor Hook Keyholder is the perfect intersection of weightlessness and security. With its dual hooking action, its not going ANYWHERE once you hook it in place. This piece performs just as well on a belt loop as it does on (or in) your favorite bag, tote, etc. Available in either solid brass or .925 sterling silver with a brass rivet; includes solid hand-rolled and formed stainless split ring.

    Um..

The two we got (one silver one brass) were not of the same craftsmanship as the same two key holders I ordered a while back and love. There are two pieces of metal which ought to slid together and sit next to each other tightly when closed. This is what the earlier two pieces are like for which I appreciate the artisanship and am willing to pay the price for this level of work.
I did reach out with the customer service which eventually said I could return the two items to them. I sent them some detailed pictures for which they agreed with me. - What I received does not look like what is pictured above. - So, they processed a replacement which took quite some time. After they sent me the two replacement items, the two key holders had exactly like the same crummy quality build as the two I returned. Seriously guys?

It's hard for me to offer an honest review of this isolated situation. I have a couple of their other items and they're quite nice. The quality of the craftsmanship and fact that they sent back two pieces with exactly the same issue as the one's they agreed to take back and replace doesn't exactly sit well.

    Love it

I'm really liking it so far. It feels like it will last forever, and it's a pleasure to hold and handle, while still easily fitting in my pocket. The patina on the silver is definitely heavier than pictured, but it's still very attractive. I may polish it at some point. The stainless steel split ring feels indestructible, and, although small in diameter, has no issue in accommodating my rather thick car key. $98 may seem like a lot for a keyring, but to me, it's a piece of jewelry and it feels special as all jewelry should.

    Nice Piece

All around its a really nice piece. Feels solid and functions really well. I really like the size and how clean the .925 stamp is along with the Studebaker stamp. Came with a little more work patina than the one in the photos but I don't mind. I too agree with Mr. Montague in his review and think it is expensive for what it is even considering the Silver its made of. That said, Im happy I bought it. Provided it lasts me a lifetime then its worth it in my book. Not my first Studebaker piece and for sure not my last. Thanks!

    I just don't think its worth $98

I've been conflicted about this review for days. I give good reviews, I promise. I just don't think this keychain is worth $98. Sterling Silver is $21 an ounce, the keychain is 3/4oz. I understand there is value in craftsmanship and handmaid items take time to make. I'll order more items from Studebaker in the future, I have my eye on numerous items they're making currently, this keychain just doesn't feel like its worth $98. It has more work patina than the pictures show as well. I'm not returning it, I'm using it.
