Purchased this bracelet for my Son-in-law’s birthday,
The brass finish is handsome and the medium size fit him perfectly.
He is proudly wearing a piece of “hometown” jewelry.
Thanks Studebaker Metals. Love your products.
I own and wear many pieces from Studebaker, with rings and a cuff in my standard rotation, but it's been years since I wore a chain bracelet. Recently, I've felt the itch to try one, and so I bought this service chain bracelet in brass to see how I like the way it fits and whether 5.6 mm is the right width for my wrist.
My wrists are thin (6.25") and my arms are long, and size M turns out to be perfect: loose towards the wrist, with two to three inches of wiggle room. The width of the links is just right for my preference, roughly similar to the trench ring which is my current favorite. I was surprised the first day of wearing the bracelet how much I enjoyed it. Every now and then I notice it moving ever so slightly on my arm while I'm moving and working, and it's a pleasant sensation. So pleasant, in fact, that I ordered it in silver the next day, and didn't request a custom size between small and medium because I enjoy that dynamic movement. I'll continue to wear this one, too. Unlike brass rings, it doesn't seem to stain my skin even after prolonged exposure.
Other reviewers mentioned that it can be difficult to manipulate the clasp without help from someone else. This wasn't a problem for me, but I suspect it's a combination of the slightly loose fit and my relatively thin fingers.
I bought three bracelets, for myself and my sons to commemorate my oldest's wedding. As you can imagine, the order was time sensitive and wouldn't you know it, a blizzard blew in and shut everything down.
I reached out to Studebaker, concerned that I would not have the bracelets in time. Shelby was very helpful and let me know that, despite the weather delays, the bracelets were in process and I would have them prior to the date needed.
The bracelets were shipped the next day and arrived a few days later with plenty of time to spare.
I cannot recommend Studebaker enough. Not only are they helpful, but the bracelets are very nice as well!
Thanks for everything!
The bracelet is great and wonderfully crafted. Clasp is very tough to open with one hand and will likely need another person. The advertised lead time is a bit long (ordered February 14, Delivered 2 weeks later) and customer service response is a bit slow (hadn't heard anything for 8 days after order, emailed February 22nd and received a response about shipping update on February 24th). I get everything is hand crafted, which is great, but at least have quicker response times as I legit thought the order was lost in the ether otherwise. This is definitely a more critical approach, but hopefully constructive in the sense it offers something that I found could be improved on.
This bracelet is great if you’re looking for an everyday wear. awesome attention to detail! My only gripe is that it’s very difficult to open the clasp without help
