Studebaker Metals is a small batch manufacturer of handmade metal accessories and jewelry based in Braddock, PA - a small steel town a few miles east of the city of Pittsburgh. We are seeking to fill a position on our customer care team. The right candidate will love interacting with people in person and digitally. Our best selling product is our process + story - so the Customer Care Host should be passionate about the products, tools and history of the brand - and be able to successfully relay that excitement and knowledge to the customer.
This is a full-time position with benefits and will require an in person Monday-Friday schedule at our Braddock Headquarters. Compensation will be hourly, rate is based on experience. Required skills:
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Be a great HOST, personable and engaging. Customer service experience to the front!
- Experience with CRM software and Google Suite is helpful.
- Innovative thinker with ability to follow verbal and written direction.
- Ability to identify issues as they arise and take corrective action as necessary.
- Experience with shopify is a PLUS.
- A positive, solutions-oriented outlook.
- A love for craft!
Key responsibilities and expectations:
- Be the face of our in-person storefront in Braddock. This includes sales, visual merchandising and some light cat wrangling + D-Jing.
- Manage and respond to customer inquiries through our site/CRM (we use reAmaze).
- Manage and respond to customers through social media platforms, posts and DMs.
- Manage the website live chat function during working hours.
- Hosting private ring consultations and fittings in our storefront.
- Customizing items using our laser engraving machine.
- Write purchase orders for in house product needs and be the curator/buyer for outside products to sell in the storefront.
- Serve as a liaison across production, shipping, and marketing departments.
